Max’s Story
Max Fletcher was born in Sydney in late 2005. A quiet child, he would begin his music journey at age 8, playing drums in the school band and. His enthusiasm for singing also blossomed around this time, playing small ‘concerts’ for his family. At 9 years old, after moving schools, Max picked up flute, playing for 3 years before deciding to focus on the drums. Later on, in high-school, Max returned to singing, taking lessons to improve his vocals whilst also picking up the ukulele (inspired by his music teacher). Utilising the newfound skill in both instruments and his newfound commercial songwriting style, Max began writing music in 2019, producing three albums (unreleased). In 2024, around the time of Junction Road’s formation, Max began to play piano, sparking a newfound joy in writing music. Through this came singles like ‘God Only Knows’, and ‘Love Never Quite Dies’. So far, Max says his spark for life '“reignited by the ability to be able to share his story through music, in the hopes that it could help others fine their own way.”
